February

This has been a fun month.  We have had both snow and 70 degree weather...such is life in Oklahoma.  Jackson has really been having a blast!  I am enjoying every minute of watching him grow up...even though it's all happening entirely too fast.  I love how as soon as he meets someone, he holds up three fingers and tells them how old he is (pronounced free).  And then he tells them that his next birthday he will be four.  I am trying to count my birthdays backwards and he is going forward!
We have a special date every month at the bakery where he goes to storytime and gets to decorate a cookie or cupcake.  He makes a great mess eating the icing (I must admit that I'm a bit jealous)!  He has so much fun doing whatever the day has in store.  He usually demands that one (or five) of his toy animals come with us....it could be his tigers, lizards, or....snakes.  I can't tell you how many moms have come up to me saying "I understand, I have a boy too".  haha.  Some of his favorite times this month were going to the zoo, playing in the snow, going to Chuck E Cheese (minus Chuck E himself), going t the indoor water park, having a Super Bowl. party, and most of all having Nana come visit!  He is becoming such a big boy and I love to see the world thru his sweet eyes.

Snow

We have hit record cold and record snowfall in Tulsa this winter.  When I was little, I can remember loving the snow and never getting cold.  Things have changed :) We played a couple of days in the snow, but even Jackson is now asking when the snow will go away!  Emma likes to look at the snow, but didn't like it at all once she touched it.  One of my friends gave me the idea of bringing snow into the bath tub and it was genius!  Jackson played in it ALL day!  We have really been challenged to find some creative things to do while being stuck inside all of this time.  We really have had fun and the kids have been great.  But let's hope my next post is about warmer temperatures!

Happy New Year!  2010 was a great year for our family.  It has been amazing to watch the kids grow!  Jackson is quite the character.  He entertains me every day and always keeps me smiling.  Emma is growing up way too fast.  It seems like just yesterday, she was an infant and now she's a toddler.  She has the most amazing smile....it lights up the room.  She isn't talking much yet...but I don't really blame her because she listens to her brother talk all day long!  Haha.  Jackson and Emma have changed my life and I can't imagine life without them!
